Garden of Edith Nursery is located in Fallon, Nevada.  Fallon is 60 miles east of Reno, Nevada and in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.  This means plants growing in our location must endure desert conditions that include alkaline soils, hot dry summers, and winters with freezing temperatures that may go below 0°F at night.  Another feature of desert climates is the common difference between day and night temperatures can vary as much as 40°F in a single 24 hour period.

    At Garden of Edith Nursery we specialize in native plants that can survive under these conditions with minimal maintenance.  All our plants are propagated from seed or division at our nursery.  All our plants are native to the western United States.
