Echinacea purpurea--Purple Coneflower has large pink black-eyed Susan like blooms that open in mid to late summer.  The blooms are on stalks that can reach a height of 2 to 3 ft.  This perennial likes full sun and survives in a wide range of soils. Blooms second and successive seasons from tough, expanding clumps.
