| Growing Tips |
Gaillardia aristata--Firewheel blooms second and successive seasons in mid and late summer, from expanding clumps. The flowers are on 2 to 3 ft. tall stems; one flower per stem. Firewheel needs full sun and loves hot, dry sandy conditions. Very drought tolerant. Takes some time to develop, but when established, is a great addition to all meadows. Plant spring, summer or fall. |
