Spotted Gayfeather

     Liatris puntata--Spotted Gayfeather blooms at the end of summer with its pink bottle-brush flowers that attract butterflies by the dozens. The flowers are born on 18 in. tall stalks and make good cut flowers.  Deep-rooted and long-lived, it is very drought tolerant.
