| Growing Tips |
Penstemon ambiguus likes it hot and dry. The flattened phlox-like flowers are decidedly unlike the shape we associate with penstemons. This penstemon forms a woody sub shrub with narrow linear foliage. Blooms May to August depending on the weather. The plant can reach 20 in. height and 20 in. diameter and looks like a pink mound of flowers when in bloom. |
