| Growing Tips |
Penstemon grandiflorus possesses one of the largest flowers of our North American Penstemons. The Beardtongue produces a profusion of lavender flowers in late spring. Easily one of the showiest of all Penstemons, it is a favorite nectar source for hummingbirds. Grows two to four feet tall on dry, sandy or rocky soil. Requires perfect drainage, and does not take kindly to clay soil. |
