Indiangrass is One of the major constituents of the Tall Grass Prairie, and when in mass appears as a sea of waving amber hues. Individual plants can reach of 6 ft. when fully in bloom.  The foliage alone reached a height of 3 ft..   This grass prefers at least a half day of full sun.  This grass prefers moist well drained soils.
