Growing Tips |
Sporabolis wrightii
reaches 6-7 ft. in height and 3 ft in diameter. This grass can
easily be a native substitution for the popular Pampas Grass (Cortaderia
sp. which is native to South America). With its spectacular
flowering spikes, Sporobolus wrightii can serve as a specimen plant
to enjoy or may be planted in a row to create a living fence or windbreak.
However, keep in mind that this fence must be cut down each spring to make
way for the the next year's growth. Sporobolis wrightii is
adaptable to a wide range of soils, prefers full sun and is very drought
tolerant. |
